Eugene Magazine has an ongoing feature that they call Community Pulse. It’s a department in the magazine where they regularly profile a community organization, typically a non-profit, or an individual that is making a big difference. I was able to write several of these profiles. In Spring of 2010 I got my first introduction to the Willamette Farm and Food Coalition. Since then, they’ve become an organization that I follow because of the many local food-related projects they have going on.
